David Barton heads our physiotherapy service having already established an outstanding reputation. David trained in New Zealand following a four-year degree programme at the University of Auckland, which he completed in 1995. He has since specialised solely in private practice physiotherapy within the musculoskeletal field. A keen sportsman himself David has worked with a number of semi-professional sporting teams and is highly experienced in the care of sports injuries. 
Denis Murphy

Denis Murphy 


Denis Murphy qualified from Keele University as a Chartered Physiotherapist and has years of experience treating musculoskeletal disorders in NHS, sport and private practice settings. He is registered with the Health Professions Council (PH 90835), Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the ACPSM (Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine). Denis specialises in running related injuries, neck/shoulder conditions and chronic lower back pain. Regular clients include anyone from the avid weekend runner to the elite Olympic marathon athlete. Denis is trained in the use of medical acupuncture, spinal manipulation and the application of Kinesio tape. In addition to this, a functional movement based approach is used to assess and treat many clients before their return to sporting activity.

Sports Massage Therapist

Jules is a qualified Sports Massage Therapist. Jules can help to alleviate pain and tension in your soft tissues, improve your flexibility, progress your rehabilitation after injury or just to feel on top form before and after events. Jules previously worked for 10 years as a City lawyer and was an Army Officer in the Reserves. She is also a Personal Trainer, keen tri-athlete and aspiring ultra-runner

Richard Baker

Richard works part-time at Chelsea Football Club and within in his years of experience worked with high performance sports including: ATP/WTA tour tennis players, PGA golfers, Professional Boxers, skiing, cycling, badminton and cricket to name a few.

Richard qualified in 2006 and since then he has worked in the private sector. He has been responsible for assessment and treatment of Musculoskeletal injuries and Post surgical rehabilitation with a mixed case load consisting of general public, Medico-Legal, adult and paediatric sportspeople. 

Richard works closely with Orthopaedic consultants. Over the years he has rehabilitated and managed common orthopaedic conditions and post orthopaedic surgical procedures.

Richard keeps his knowledge up to date by attending courses regularly and reading the latest research. He is trained in acupuncture, taping, Pilates, spinal manipulation and electrotherapy.

When Richard is not treating patients, he spends his free time with his son and wife. He is a keen sportsman, LTA level 4 tennis coach and plays golf with his friends.
